The mother antelope fights with 100 baboons to protect her babies from a tragic death

Baboons are extremely rare primates. According to Egyptian mythology, baboons are sacred animals, servants of Thoth – the ancient Egyptian god. They live in herds, stretching from the savanna forests of Africa to the Middle East.

Baboons are aggressive and highly social animals, clearly hierarchical. They live on the ground, in groups and hunt birds, insects, rodents, mammals such as antelope, sheep and other plants, fruits, cereals, grass… as food.

These baboons are on the move looking for food, when they see an adult antelope and its young far away from their herd. They herded them into the forest, in order to kidnap the baby antelope.

Seeing the opportunity, they began to attack the mother antelope, but the mother antelope attacked with consecutive kicks that caused the baboons to climb up the tree in pain.

But they do not give up and take turns continuing to attack the mother and daughter antelope to herd the two antelopes to run far away from their herd and look for opportunities to kill them.

The mother antelope alone was attacked by the baboons, although she caused the baboons many difficulties with consecutive kicks, but could not save her baby because they were too far away from the antelope.

The mother antelope was in pain watching her baby being bitten right in front of her eyes but couldn’t do anything but ran away, the baboons getting a meal was also not easy.
