Lion was taught a life lesson by a giant hippo by deliberately disturbing a sleeping hippo by grabbing a hippo’s head

In the video, a lion approaches a resting hippo in the ɢʀᴀssland with curiosity. The massive grazer is awakened by the large cat’s sniffing examination, which causes it to shift gears with startling rapidity. The lioness trots away slowly with her ears down – a mistake, as the hippo soon ᴄʟᴏsᴇs the distance between them with its powerful tusked jaws flaring out.

The lioness appears to get grabbed by the head by the hippo, which knocks her off her feet while she struggles with the ᴀᴛᴛᴀᴄᴋer. The video ends with both animals flying off in opposite directions after a brief period of violent physical contact.

The huge cat was eventually discovered ᴅᴇᴀᴅ, bleeding from its mouth, and most likely suffering from internal injuries, according to Will Brookes, the individual who recorded the video.

The unfortunate lioness may have merely been sᴄᴏᴘing out the enormous flesh-heap in this instance. Hippos, which weigh several tons and are among the most ferocious creatures in Africa, are occasionally the target of attempts by big cats to feed. In addition to being a difficult quarry due to their size, cantankerous nature, and toothy lower jaw, they spend a lot of time relaxing in areas that are not particularly lion-friendly such as rivers, swamps, and waterholes.
