Leopards are attacked by wild boars on their way to death, what is the real reason?

Recently, a short video was shared on social networks and quickly became a viral video attracting the attention of the online community. In it, a herd of wild boars is attacking a leopard on the road.

In fact, the cause of this 1-year-old leopard’s death was not due to a wild boar attack, but in fact it died in a traffic accident. The leopard was crossing the street at night when it was hit by a truck, killing it soon after.

Wild boars are omnivores so they can eat meat. Therefore, upon seeing the leopard’s body, the wild boar attacked the victim. The crashed leopard was an Indian leopard (scientific name: Panthera pardus fusca).
