Hyenas take down stubborn prey and grant them a slow, painful death

The hyena is also one of the wildest’s most successful predators, and the prey that falls in front of the hyena is also innumerable.

Hyenas are much smaller than lions and don’t run too fast, but their keen hearing and tenacity help them survive and defeat countless stubborn animals.

Unsurprisingly, hyenas can defeat leopards, cheetahs and some large herbivores like hippos, buffalo and even young elephants.

The way hyenas hunt is very simple, they choose sick or old and weak prey and attack for days then enjoy the results in the pain of other animals.

Hippos have 5-10cm thick skin but still fall before hyenas, buffalo and zebra are no exception.
