Desperately thirsty giraffe, accepting danger drinking “lion’s water”, giraffes pay with their lives

It was never a wise move to go into the lion’s territory, drinking water right next to the king of all things. Especially for herbivores like giraffes.
In fact, the giraffe itself does not want to and does not have the courage to do it in front of the lion – the king of all animals. The only reason driving it now was a desperate thirst.

Drought makes water scarce. Areas of ponds, lakes, rivers, and streams are full of dangerous predators who come to satisfy their thirst as well as avoid the sweltering heat of the day. So wherever it is, the giraffe will have to face the challenge.

According to Smithsonian, despite drinking the giraffe recklessly approaching to drink water right in front of them, the lions did not make a move, even if the distance was only a leap of the prey.

In fact, these are all wise calculations of the lions. In the wild, giraffes make up less than 1% of the lion’s food “list” because they are so large, dangerous, and can cause unnecessary injuries even if lions hunt in groups.

So they decided to wait until nightfall because lions have eyes that can see well at night. At this point, they dominate the prey and with the cooperation of both the leader and the other lionesses, the job of hunting seems a little easier.

For them, the successful hunting this time means a lot, especially when the whole herd obtained more than 1.3 tons of meat after a long drought.
