The lion is one of the apex predators and is often referred to as the “king of the grasslands”. Lions are larger than cheetahs and hyenas, and possess sharp fangs and superior strength, enabling them to defeat other animals for a meal.

However, lions are not always able to defeat their prey. Cheetah is a very agile animal and can run at speeds of up to 110 km/h for a short period of time. If the cheetah has enough space to run away, the lion may not be able to catch them.

The hyena is also a tough opponent for lions. Hyenas have the ability to organize herds and attack in unison, giving them strength to defeat their enemies. If the hyena population is large enough and the attack is organized wisely, the lion can also be defeated.

So while lions are fearsome predators, defeating cheetahs and hyenas for a meal is not always easy and successful.

Fortunately, the fight for food happened alone. The hyena comes and steals the cheetah’s food and then it all belongs to the lion.
