Leopards are always a mysterious animal and create many surprises for tourists when they witness its hunting skills firsthand.

A wonderful moment was captured when a leopard suddenly appeared and attacked an impala.

Leopards detect prey from afar while hiding at a tree stump. Then the leopard went into stalking mode & Leopard crawled slowly towards the unexpected Impala antelope a few meters away.

The leopard patiently waited until the antelopes got closer to make it’s move. When the two antelopes males started a sparing match with it’s horns the leopard attacked and caught the one Impala totally off guard.

It is a wonderful sight when you get to see leopards hunting with your own eyes. Here are some comments from the audience after watching the video on Youtube:

“Amazing the stealth of that leopard. The stealth, the movement – parallel to the horizontal of the earth -, then like a wraith to the fighting gazelles it leapt, totally blindsiding one that probably didn’t know what that razor vice grip of death was until he smelt the stench of the leopard’s breath and then the gazelle knew from primordial instincts, that the game was over. The leopard is my favorite big cat no doubt about it.”
