Hippos are one of those fierce and powerful creatures.

Hippos are especially aggressive when someone trespasses their territory and touches their babies.

In the video, the hungry lion finds its mother hippo lying on the side of the road from exhaustion. Instead of running away immediately, the baby hippo ran to cover and scare the lion, preventing the lion from attacking its mother.

The lion lunged at the baby hippo, but the baby hippo escaped and turned to attack the lion again. Finally, because he was not interested in fighting the baby hippo, the lion went away.

The mother hippo died of dehydration not long after. The sad thing is that because they are not old enough to feed themselves, the baby hippo also dies for the same reason after two days.
